Made Here / Moves Here

A body, a garment, a city. A proposition for adaptive fashion, dramaturgy and public performance.

Three digital concept designs of long black adaptive garments, shown on models on a curved glass-block staircase in a library atrium
Made here. Digital concept design for garments Corey is designing; not a photograph of fabricated garments.

I am the maker. The garment is the research.

What happens when one Akron maker combines community-accessible fabrication, lived experience, harm-reduction practice, dramatic form and AI-assisted research?

Made Here / Moves Here connects the garment to the body that wears it, the place where it is made and the performance through which it becomes visible. Adaptive-fashion design and dramaturgy share a concern with movement, participation and the choices a designed object makes possible.

Public tools. Personal stakes.

The proposition begins with a person's goal. Tools become useful when someone can imagine what they might make with them. The design work brings that instructional instinct into fabric, form and public making.

The three digital garment sketches are part of the design process. They communicate a direction to investigate, not completed construction or verified protective function.

From concept to evidence

This is a concept in development. Physical garment construction and validation, performance permissions, and partnerships remain to develop. No institutional endorsement or tested survival function is claimed.
