Work in Motion

A front door to a person whose work takes more than one form.

The entrance is personal. The magazine homepage introduces Corey; the project stories let readers follow the work.

The problem was the story

AI Engineering, instructional systems design, research and making all belong to my professional identity. Scattered websites and profiles made readers assemble that identity for themselves. This project gives the work a common entrance: Understanding is a form of Power.

The portrait makes the person visible. The radar’s highlighted point is me, navigating detail and context, trying to see the forest for the trees. The project stories explain the different forms that work takes.

Designing for understanding

I set the identity, voice, evidence boundaries and visual direction. The magazine structure connects a human introduction, explanatory interactions, project stories and inspectable evidence. The design work includes plain-language explanations, meaningful captions, keyboard navigation and controls for motion.

LinkedIn introduces the same person and points into the work. GitHub holds the source and research history across my accounts. A reader should be able to move among them without having to work out whether they have found a different person or a different organization.

The website collaboration belongs in this story

The collaboration with The Free Website Guys is part of developing that public presence. Earlier template directions and the newer editorial brief are stages of the website work. They should connect to this identity and its project stories, rather than create another competing front door.

The personal magazine is live. The vendor collaboration remains in development; a completed vendor-built site or hosting handover is not claimed here.

One entrance, several paths

Contract Window for Bob explores intent and evidence. Reflexive explores source preservation and interpretation. MADE HERE / MOVES HERE connects adaptive fashion, dramaturgy and public making. CRGSLab explores governance research and engineering. These are peer projects within my practice.
