CRGSLab

What is AI doing to us—and how do we keep people in charge?

The earlier unfinished CRGSLab website, opening with What is AI doing to us?
Development evidence. An earlier lab website. Its interface and claims are work in progress, not a record of validated outcomes.

The question behind the project

I investigate how AI systems affect understanding, attention, interpretation and human agency. CRGSLab brings together research and engineering work on constitutional runtime governance: making the rules, boundaries and decisions governing an AI system inspectable while it works.

Instructional systems design is central to that work. A system can produce an answer without helping a person understand it. A workflow can look productive while quietly moving authority away from the person who asked for help. Those are design and research problems worth investigating.

Research → paper → product

My contribution spans problem framing, instructional analysis, research protocols, conceptual models, engineering prototypes, evaluation tools and technical writing. The loop is identify a problem → investigate → write → build → test → revise.

CRG-ANL examines governance in AI-native learning. Agent Builder Companion contains learning-agent source, a Workbook Mentor and instructional-design guidance. These are inspectable strands of the project; source availability does not establish that every proposed capability works.

One project—not the umbrella over my work

CRGSLab sits alongside Contract Window for Bob, Reflexive and MADE HERE / MOVES HERE. It is one expression of my practice. It is not the entrance to my whole professional identity.

The lab name may eventually disappear as its research and governance methods become part of the process every project follows. That is a possible direction, not a completed reorganization.

Where the work stands

Research documents, source repositories and prototype interfaces exist. The earlier website is incomplete. Its proposed programs, performance claims and institutional-scale ambitions should not be read as independently verified results or operating services.
